Fehringer Ranch Disc Golf Course
W. Quincy Ave & S. Nelson St.
Morrison, CO 80465
Our West Side Best Side Cross Country races are the perfect combination of trail and road racing. The courses we run are typically a mixture of packed dirt path, grass, single track trail and some bike path. These community races, which have been developed by runners for runners, provide an excellent runner, spectator and sponsor experience from start to finish.
We are partnering with Foothills Parks & Rec to bring you a COVID-safe, in-person cross country race at Fehringer Ranch near D’Evelyn High School March 11-21, 2021. The course (see below) will be set up using flags, flour and other markings so that you can run it any time the park is open between those race dates. To be eligible for prizes, you will submit your recorded time from your tracking device on our results page. The times will be used to award prizes to the top individual runners as well as men’s, women’s and mixed teams.
Your health and safety – as well as that of all park users – is important to us. We ask that you follow all local health guidelines, wear face masks/coverings when not running and maintain 6 feet of distance from others at all times.
Register as a team or register as an individual. Teams consist of up to five runners with the fastest three runners being scored (see below for details).
Teams (men's, women's and mixed) - $100 with a t-shirt
Individual - $25 with t shirt/$15 with no t shirt
For team registration - the team captain registers and pay for the team. Members will then add themselves to the team at no additional cost.
Registered runners receive a long sleeve race shirt. Individual runners can opt out of the shirt giveaway. Register by March 3 to guarantee shirt size.
Runners ages 21 and up receive a BOGO coupon for a beer from Barquentine Brewing Company in Edgewater Marketplace
All runners are eligible to win $10 gift cards from local businesses in our prize drawing.
You can pick up your shirt, Barquentine coupons and random drawing prizes at Barquentine Brewing Co. (5505 W. 20th Ave. in the Edgewater Public Market) on THURSDAY, MARCH 18 from 4:00-7:00. If you can't make it that night your items will be mailed out after the event.
There is parking available at Fehringer Ranch Disc Golf Park and limited overflow parking on the street leading into it. Please do not park in the school lot during regular school hours.
Yeah, we know times don’t count in cross country and that runner placement rules. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. Runners will be responsible for recording their own times using a tracking device such as Garmin, Strava or MapMyRun. You can then submit your time into the event results if you want to be considered for race prizes. Otherwise, go old school, ditch the watch and just have fun running some inviting trail-like conditions on a (hopefully) nice spring day.
The fastest three runners are scored for men’s and women’s teams. The score for mixed teams uses a similar formula to determine the winner however the fastest three runners must include at least one person of each gender. The lowest total team time in each category – as measured by scored runners – wins. The top two teams in the men's, women's and mixed divisions will receive ribbons. The top five male and female overall finishers also will receive ribbons.

Please refer to the course map before you begin your run. We have marked the course with orange flags, directional arrows and flour markings and we will check the course every morning to replace missing markers, but we cannot guarantee that all markings will remain in place. Be certain to stay straight on the main trail all the way to the turn, it occurs at approx. .4 miles. DO NOT take the fork to the right at ~.2 miles. When heading north after the 1 mile mark be sure to run all the way to the gate at the end before turning right onto single track heading back. Ignore the wide fork taking off to the right. Places where you should not turn are marked with XXXX on the map above.
